After a long-awaited process, the BarBurrito restaurant in Bolton is finally open! In the weeks leading up to opening day, we got a slew of questions from Bolton residents. This marks our most anticipated store launch of 2019.
Friends and family inspired Jagdeep and Amardeep to get into the food business. From their experience helping loved ones with their restaurants, they thought the fast-paced, social environment made for interesting work. Before this venture, Jagdeep was in trucking and Amardeep was an occasional teacher for elementary schools. After discussions with friends who owned other BarBurrito locations, they made the decision to open the first Mexican eatery in Bolton. Though you can find Mexican cuisine in the neighbouring Vaughan and Brampton communities, Caledon lacked spicy Southern fare – until now.
These days, Jagdeep and Amardeep split their time between the restaurant and their 15-month-old baby. They don’t have room for much else! “We’re focusing on the day-to-day before we look at long-term goals”, they explain. While they admit the process has been overwhelming and exciting, they look forward to providing healthier options to the community.
Their recommendation? Try the chicken burrito bowl.
