Cinco de Mayo is often mistaken for Mexico’s Independence Day, which is actually celebrated on September 16^th. In History, the date May 5th, commemorates the underdog victory of the Mexican Army over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla, on May 5^th, 1862.

Cinco de Mayo, (while it is important to note its origin) to us is a celebration of Mexican-Canadian culture. From the great-tasting cuisine to the vibrant artwork and music that makes you want to move! We are excited to be celebrating all of that and more, this year, in a huge way. How huge you ask? We’re going to celebrate this all week long! Starting Tuesday, May 1^st, 2018 to Saturday, May 5^th, 2018.
